The HUB team has decades of cumulative experience and an unrivaled track record in real estate entrepreneurship.
Edward has almost three decades’ experience in global financial markets. He spent twenty years in investment banking and seven more in fund management. Roles included Global Head of Research at Commerzbank Securities, Head of Japan Sales at Jefferies & Co. and Head of Listed Investment Companies at LGT Capital Partners.
As Chairman, Edward oversees HUB’s interaction with its investors and is responsible for human resources.
Chief Executive Officer
Robert’s entrepreneurship has been pivotal in the establishment of a series of investment and development companies within the SquarestoneHUB group. He has originated and delivered a wide range of projects in residential and commercial real estate in a career spanning over 25 years, working alongside friend and long-term business partner Tim Barlow for the past 15 years.
As Chief Executive Officer, Robert delivers to HUB extensive experience in the fields of business strategy, creative funding and new business generation.
Chief Operating Officer
Tim fulfils the Chief Operating Officer role for all of the SquarestoneHUB group of companies having started out in residential development before diversifying into the commercial sector. HUB sees him returning to his residential roots.
Tim has over 25 years’ experience in commercial and residential real estate, 15 of which have seen him working across a huge range of investment activities with friend and long-term business partner Robert Sloss. These include establishing ventures such as the F15 Partnership, Squarestone Central London LP and more.
Steve combines a wealth of technical experience, which began with a Masters degree in Engineering Science from Oxford University, with an ability to structure deals, engage at all levels of the development process, and creatively problem solve. Over a period of 14 years, Steve has worked for some of the most respected and dynamic developers in the country, including Urban Splash and Argent.
Recognising the importance of helping people to achieve their full potential, Steve is also a proud Trustee of A Band of Brothers, who provide support and guidance to young men in the criminal justice system. Internally, Steve looks after the day-to-day management of the HUB business, from formulating business strategies through to engaging with public sector partners and local communities.
Group Finance Director
Marcio has worked in corporate finance for over 15 years. Working for multinationals in the real estate, industrial and service sectors, he has a wealth of experience in analysis, funding structuring, financial planning, reporting and compliance, and more.
Marcio holds a BA in Business Administration from the University of São Paulo, a BA in accounting from the Pontifical Catholic University of São Paulo and a post-graduate degree in finance from the Getulio Vargas Foundation, São Paulo.
Damien is actively involved in all aspects of the development process from acquisition through delivery to completion. An architect by training, Damien also acts as HUB’s Head of Design. Prior to joining HUB, Damien held the position of Executive Director at Robin Partington & Partners, where projects included the Merchant Square development in Paddington.
Damien holds a first-class honours degree from the University of Ulster, a Masters degree from Cardiff University and a Postgraduate Diploma from Westminster University.
Senior Development Manager
Alex is a chartered Civil Engineer and member of the Association of Project Management. His design and project management background allows him to work closely with design teams and contractors to integrate efficient, people-friendly design into the heart of HUB developments.
Previously Alex worked at Ramboll where he delivered numerous building and infrastructure projects across a variety of sectors. Alex holds a first-class MEng degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Birmingham.
Head of Acquisitions
Chris heads up HUB’s acquisitions of privately-owned land for residentially led mixed-use development. This role also encompasses working with public sector organisations, leading on public procurement regeneration opportunities.
Chris has spent the last seven years specialising in acquiring brownfield sites, managing and delivering large complex mixed-use regeneration projects with a combined value of over £1bn. This has entailed managing various stakeholders, from the local community to parties invested in the deal.
Lorna is an ACA qualified chartered accountant with over 5 years’ experience managing finance teams.
She qualified after 3 years of working in audit with subsequent experience working as Finance Manager for a housing association and then at a firm of architects.
Prior to joining HUB, Lorna was Head of Finance at the Chartered Institute of Public Finance and Accountancy managing a team of 11. Key responsibilities included ensuring that the finance team provided a high quality customer focused service and that key reporting requirements both internally and to statutory bodies were met.
Ben is a qualified architect and Chartered Member of the Royal institute of British Architects. His vision and breadth of project experience, acquired working at leading architectural practices in Central London, allows him to work directly with project teams to deliver design-led homes and people-centred developments of exceptional quality.
Ben holds an honours degree from the University of Newcastle upon Tyne, a Diploma in Architecture and Masters degree from Oxford Brookes University and a Postgraduate Diploma from University College London.
Community Engagement Coordinator
Bakoly supports the development team in all aspects of engagement with the communities where HUB has a presence. She previously worked in corporate communications at Masius (now Saatchi Masius), before helping establish the Rockspring Iberia office in Madrid. She was also involved in promoting citizen participation in Disaster Prevention and Recovery on a mission at UNDP Lima (Peru), where she acquired and developed humanitarian and advocacy communications experience.
Bakoly is fluent in English, French, Spanish and Portuguese, and holds a BA in Media Studies from the University of Sussex.
Customer Experience Manager
With over 10 years of experience in the industry, Katie has delivered a varied portfolio of residential properties. Prior to joining HUB, she worked with Argent on their King's Cross development as Project Director of the residential marketing team working closely with the sales, delivery and customer care teams.
This multidiscipline background will prove beneficial when leading customer experience for HUB's residential developments.
Katie ensures all HUB customers receive exceptional customer service from the moment they reserve their new home.
