We’re made up about MaidenheadWed 13 Sep 2017
We are delighted to confirm our partnership with landowners Smedvig, and cannot wait to start working on The Landing in Maidenhead. The 3.1-acre site currently has permission for 225 homes, 368,000 sq ft of commercial and 50,200 sq ft of retail space.
Chief Executive Robert Sloss is positive about HUB's involvement in the scheme; 'HUB has a proven track record of unlocking complex sites within the M25 to deliver high-quality homes, and we are excited to bring that experience to this important regeneration project in the centre of Maidenhead.'
We believe the exciting scheme, already boldly envisioned by Studio Egret West, can become even more dynamic. By increasing the amount of homes and reviewing other elements, we can unlock this amazing regeneration opportunity, and get the development on site.
HUB Managing Director Steve Sanham is clear on how to progress, ‘The centre of Maidenhead needs big ideas, and it is important to bring people back in’.
The development includes a substantial redevelopment of the public realm as it links the new town centre Crossrail Station, set to open in 2019. It will be HUB’s first partnership with landowners, Smedvig. Smedvig CEO Jostein Kalsheim says, ‘We are confident they will strengthen the team and lead the further development of the project to a successful completion…’.
